HIV & AIDS Counselling Training Workshop 17th August 2015
The 12 delegates that attended the HIV & AIDS Counselling Training Workshop from the Life Healthcare group have attested that the training was amongst other compliments:
What did you enjoy?
• Very informative
• An eye-opener
• Enjoyed the involvement of the participants
• Found the Speaker (Trainer) competent
• Interactive with role playing
• Learned Skills; unaware were required
Conclusion:
All in n all this was a successful intervention from the point of view and feedback from the recipients.
Going forward I would like to advise that continuous training is provided in order to afford the counselling staff with the confidence to present their services at the highest level.
Furthermore, debriefing of the counselling staff should be provided on a regular basis to ensure their well-being and continued capability of handling the stresses and concerns that may arise with the undertaking of counselling others.
Final word:
It is great to see that institutions such as Life Healthcare ensure that their staff is trained to address such issues not only where their clients are concerned but also the well-being of their staff.
