Positive Living – Skills Projects
PROJECT 1: Computer Skills Income Initiative
PROJECT 2: Training: Support Group Facilitator
~Quality Living Course~
The objective in founding AID My Journey is to play a major role in the transformation of how HIV and AIDS is managed, providing valuable structured programmes on HIV and AIDS and programmes used to enhance employers and employees:
“Educate and empower people by providing local life skills programmes that promotes positive values, healthy habits, and education – resulting in real life power.”
Computer Skills Income Initiative: AID My Journey-Support requires computers and laptops to support this valuable initiative.
These will be put to good use in teaching individuals living with the HI virus that have either been retrenched due to ill health or left their livelihood once they became ill, some basic computer skills.
This initiative is to empower persons to prepare small business plans, quotes, letters and essential admin skills etc. in order to generate an income for themselves.
We plan to communicate these skills through various resources and then have the donated computers available to these persons to pursue their earnings from our premises.
AID My Journey-Support has been kindly offered the services of a local Durban College to teach individuals some of these skills.
Training: Support Group Facilitator – Quality Living Course is a valuable initiative that will encourage individuals to share this much needed information and in time assist in removing the stigma attached to the virus.
This initiative is to motivate and empower individuals to take this course information back to their communities and potentially generate an income for themselves by facilitating their own courses.
Should you wish to support this initiative in any way, we would be most grateful for your support.
There will be acknowledgment of the support via newspapers, website and other social media platforms acknowledging your role in the development of this project.
Many Thanks.
