Very proud of you Cindy XXX
Wow Cindy – you’re one helluva lady. I am on the Labour Management Forum committee at Kimberley Hospital and Dept Health has spent RK’s on a campaign urging the public to be tested. So many lives could be saved and/or prolonged if one is treated in time. Sadly, as you mention – we don’t want to know…… and this is the perception country wide amongst all races. I was one of the ‘ignorant’ who had the idea that the more Gov promoted this campaign the worse it got (HIV) ……. not true …. people are being tested, whether it be through their employers or whoever which is obviously increasing the stats which are still very far from correct as we all know as there are millions who still haven’t been tested
Best wishes with your venture and congratulations on your website.
Hi Mona, Thanks for your input. It’s wonderful to know that people are doing something about it even though it is not enough. I volunteer at the Open Door Crisis Care Centre in Pinetown as a Lay Cousellor and am hoping to start a Support Group for english speaking people affected with HIV/AIDS. There are a number of organisations that provide Emplyoee Support Programmes (ESP) that provide HCT (VCT) for individuals where there is total confidentiality but unfortunately not widely advertised or intergrated into Company Wellness Programmes.
Hi Cindy been reading your website! It is looking great. I will keep reading it 🙂
Thanks Candice, look forward to comments and suggestions.
Its like you read my mind! You appear to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with some pics to drive the message home a bit, but instead of that, this is great blog. A fantastic read. I’ll certainly be back.
Thank you for your feedback and I will look into uploading more pics. It has been a very busy year for me and I work entirely on my own. I hope to have some new hands on board this year.
Hi dear Cindy,
first a big thank you for the interview you gave us on the positive-session yesterday on Gagasi FM.
I am Pamela Kay’s partner in love and positive-vibez. Maybe she told you our story.
She (black) silently/knowingly infected by her now late (white) husband;
Me (white) not infected (yet …), neither by my late (black) wife, nor by Pamela;
(Only mentioning the “colour” because it is funny, that we have all been mixed couples)
Us now together decided to do “something”, having a lot of fun (and stress 😉 with it.
To me it is sometimes strange, because as a “negative” one I will always be considered as “I don’t know what I am talking about” 😉
Thank you for your attitude and activity, hoping to meet you one day personally, and thinking there should be some synergy coming out of this.
By the way, you got a good website.
Greetings
Tilmann
Dear Tilmann
It is only a pleasure to be able to share whatever information I have. Pamela gave me a brief overview of your story but we will be meeting in the coming week and I am sure she will share the entire saga with me ?
I look forward to meeting with you sometime in the future as we certainly do have some synergy going here.
If anyone just takes the trouble to find out about the virus themselves it could prevent a whole lot of trauma and heartache so it is great that you as a ‘negative’ have such an interest and I am sure knowledge to share with the community at large. People should appreciate that fact.
The more information, coming from whomever with extensive resources should be gratefully absorbed for the ongoing wellbeing of society.
Thanks, I love my website and have the most awesome designer and trainer in Social Media Solutions Charlotte Kemp and Shawn Fouche.
Take Care
Cindy
Hi Cindy, we chatted briefly last night with the group “Living with Hope”, the topic was on ARVs and I just wanted to say what an honour it was to have you join us. Thank you for sharing and just looking at your journey makes me realize it’s not what we go through that strengthens or builds us… it does build us no doubt …. but its how you come out and cope through the storm that makes the difference. You’ve some out stronger, smiling and turning your experiences into a living testimony.
God bless you for touching our lives in a way that cannot be explained.
Only a pleasure! I look forward to chatting to all of you in the future.
Take care and be Positive 😉
All the best
Cindy
